General
Rules For All Classes:
RaceCeivers mandatory
in all classes, AMB Transponders mandatory in Super LM, Limited Sportsman &
Crate LM. Fire suit mandatory, Must have a minimum 2lb ABC Fire Extinguisher
securely mounted within easy reach of the driver. NO Mirrors. NO Radios. All
weights are after race with driver in car &. 1lb. per lap burn off in heat,
consolation & feature races in all classes.
Steel Drive-shafts must
be painted White, ALL LEAD MUST BE WHITE AND BOLTED WITH TWO BOLTS TO THE CAR. All cars are subject
to inspection at any time. A weight penalty may be added for minor deviations in
class rules, major deviations will result in car being placed in class that it
is best suited for. These rules are intended for fair competition in all
divisions. Cars will be placed in division that they are best suited to race in.
Track Officials decisions are final. Green Valley Speedway scales are the
official scales of the Bama Bash. It is the driver's responsibility to
make sure they meet the minimum weight, not the track official’s responsibility.
American Racer, Hoosier Racing Tires and Sunoco 110 & 112 Race Fuel, along with
other parts are available at the track.

Limited Late Models:
Weight – 2300lbs. for
362 cubic inch anytime, Block- Any steel block, Cranks-Any steel crank (NO TITANIUM),
Rods Any steel rod (NO TITANIUM), Pistons-Flat Top only, Cam-Any camshaft allowed,
Lifters-Any lifter allowed, Heads- Any steel 23 degree head for GM.- 10 degree head
for FORD, Valves-Any valve allowed, Valve springs/retainers/keepers-any type
allowed, Rockers-Any rocker allowed, Racing valve job permitted, Dry sump oil
system allowed, Carburetor- One four barrel carburetor only, Fuel- GAS or
ALCOHOL only (NO NITROUS OXIDE),
Ignition system-any type
allowed, Tires- Any American Racer or Hoosier, Goodyear all tires must stick 52 anytime.
Body/Chassis/Brakes/Wheelbase same as
Lucas Oil /WoOLMs/SAS/SRRS. Steel Drive-shafts must be painted White.
Crate Late Models:
Engines GM 602 or 604 are to be strictly to GM Factory Specifications and any
deviation is illegal.
TIRES
HOOSIER D 21”S (LM20’S & 1350’S)
D55 (LM40’S & Shoulder Plated 1600’S) and D70’S AMERICAN RACERS
SD48, MD56 & HD70’S. They must punch 42 at any time, using the track durometer,
which will be Official.

Tires must have all numbers and name on the tire. No grinding off of numbers or
names, any tire that has been altered will be illegal and confiscated
Grooving and siping

GM must be 2350 (anytime).
Spoiler’s Maximum height of 12” (inches).
All cars are subject for inspection and P/G at any time by Officials. E85 Fuel
is legal. Carburetors (one 4 barrel), engine must be naturally aspirated, 604
may use 1" one piece carb. spacer, with .040 tolerance and two standard paper
gaskets with a max of 0.70 thickness, one gasket between intake spacer and one
gasket between spacer and carb. 602 may use 2" one piece carb. spacer, with .040
tolerance and two standard paper gaskets with a max of 0.70 thickness, one
gasket between intake spacer and one gasket between spacer and carb. Nesmith or
Fastrak body rules apply, of which you must declare which you are claiming and
only use one.
Super Street:
2800lbs must have
stock front clip, 362ci small block limit, stock stroke crank, flat top pistons,
hydraulic or flat tappet camshaft, Chevrolet. 350 valve sizes 1.94 & 1.5, any
bigger valves add 50 lbs, Factory cast iron heads, World Products 4360 & 4361
OK. NO aluminum heads. Any stock after market replacement, Bowtie, Vortec/Bowtie
or angle plug heads add 100lbs (example Bowtie head & big valves add 150lbs) NO
porting or polishing heads, intake or carburetor, stud mounted rockers only,
lifters must be OEM diameter to make of engine, ex. Chevy .842”, small block 400
permitted with 500 cfm 2 barrel, Holley 750cfm max. Crate engines may run
unported or polished 650 Holley, quick change rear end allowed, weight jacks
allowed, 4-bar type suspension and 100lbs. Open tires, 8" rear spoiler, GM Crate
Engine P/N 88958602 deduct 250lbs./ P/N 88958604 deduct 150lb.
Hobby / Economy Bomber:
362ci small block
limit, GM stock production steel heads, World Products part #4360 or 4361 OK.
Factory performance NO aftermarket heads except the ones specified here, stoke
bore and stroke .060 overbore permitted, stock stroke crank, flat top pistons,
hydraulic lifters & if tech man can see them bleed off it’s legal, lifters must
be OEM diameter to make of engine, stud mounted roller rocker arms, Chevrolet
350 valve size 1.94 & 1.5, any bigger valves add 50lbs, no aluminum heads, cast
iron intake or low profile aluminum intake (EdellbrockTorker II #5001, Performer
RPM #7116, or #7516), any other high rise or raised plenum aluminum intake add
100lbs, no porting or polishing heads, intake or carburetor. Holley 600cfm
maximum, EAMS Spec type 1850 carburetor ok, no double pumpers, 1" carburetor
spacer allowed, headers allowed, any stock type (NO MSD boxes) electronic
ignition, steel wheels, 12" Open tire rule, 6" spoiler allowed, jack bolts,
stock chassis, stock type rear end 9" ford allowed, stock type
transmissions ONLY, NO Bert or Brinn type, automatics must have torque converter

roller tip rockers, must have 1.94 intake and 1.5 exhaust valves and any bigger
valves must add 50lbs. NO aftermarket heads or Vortec Heads, NO porting or
polishing of heads or intakes, headers ok. Holley 1850 or GM Quadra jet, Carter
or Edellbrock
carbs ok, any stock
type. NO MSD electronic ignition, factory steel bodies ONLY, NO spoilers
of any kind, full stock firewalls and floor pans mandatory weight penalty
for excessive hulling at tech director's discretion, stock suspension ONLY, Rear
end must match make of car, stock steering parts only, stock type transmissions
ONLY, NO Bert or Brinn type, automatics must have torque converter NO dump
valves, stock type single disc clutch ONLY, NO triple disc or couplers, fly
wheel 14lb. minimum, any DOT approved 8" street tire with standard passenger
tread, No mud grips, or recaps with racing type tread pattern. IMCA G60 8” tires
are allowed, 8" Steel wheels ONLY, 3400lbs with driver. Wheel bases less than
115" 3600lbs. Camaros, Mustangs, or GT type cars OK.
Modified Pony:
Any flat top pistons
(except 1600 or 1800 Toyota may run stock dome piston .267” max), any cam,
aluminum head on Fords add 200 lbs, 500cfm Holley carburetor maximum,
If
the head is ported or has a larger than stock valve size add 25 lbs. Ported
intake add 25 lbs / cam with larger than stated lift or a roller cam add 25 lbs
the tech inspector must be notified about the head work prior to the race. Headers allowed, no
rotary engines, steel wheels, 10" tire width, weight 1 lb per c.c. with driver
before the race, 6" rear spoiler, stock chassis, stock suspension, jack
bolts OK, aluminum bodies OK. Race winners head may be pulled to verify engine
cc's.
Pure/ Stock
Pony:
This class is for
stock cars that have a Unibody a full stock floor pan and steel body. All must
have 4 point roll cage with 3 door bar on right side .083 thicknesses. No tube
cars. All cars must have 3” inch seat belts with shoulder harness and must be
attached to roll cage. Weight is one (1) pound per c.c. prior to race; this will
include any over bore up to .060 max. All weight must be bolted on. Track
reserves the right to adjust weights in interest of competition should it deem
necessary. 6” max rear spoilers allowed. Maximum wheelbase is 103 inches (+- 1
inch) minimum wheelbase is 92 inches (+- 1 inch). May run front-wheel drives but
they must weigh one pound per cc plus 100 lbs behind the rear axle. You
may run independent rear suspensions. You may run aluminum body with most of the
stock body under it. No mirrors. Screw jack permitted. No coil-overs. No
adjustable caster or camber plates. Fuel cell must be relocated to trunk area
and must have adequate firewall between the driver and fuel cell. Inline 4cyl,
engines only. No modifications of any kind to engine. Headers permitted. Any
hydraulic lift cam allowed, no hydraulic roller or solid lift cam allowed.
SMP Open
Wheel Modified Rules Simplified
ENGINE: No Motor Claim
Rule. Aluminum Heads Okay with 50 lbs. added in front of firewall (25 pounds
left and 25 pounds right.) TIRES/WHEELS: Must use unaltered American
Racer (G-60 KK704) or IMCA approved Hoosier G-60's. No softening, conditioning
of tires. Aluminum or steel spacers only. External, steel bead lock only and it
cannot make wheel any narrower than 8" and no wider than 8.75". Must use only
steel bolts. GVS permits siping within the confines of the tread and not past
the factory straight lines) Right front beadlocks are ok. Steel wheels only. No decals required on
wheels. TRANSMISSIONS: Any Transmission including Bert and Brinn Transmissions
are okay. WEIGHT: All cars must weight 2450 pounds after the race with the
driver. This includes any weight added for Aluminum heads in front of firewall.
GVS Officials may ask you remove to remove and allow them to weight these added
weights at any time during the event. REAR END: Quick change is optional: Steel
tubes, hubs, and birdcages only! CLAIM RULE: The MSD box may be claimed for $300
by GVS officials at anytime, or by any driver that finishes in the top10 after
the race.
