Glencoe, AL (5/04) -  Saturday night offered the fans at GVS a chance to watch a classic battle between two of the best drivers on dirt.  Randy "The Dream" Weaver and Ray Cook battled it out for the win in the GVS edition to the Southern Regional Racing Series schedule.  Weaver held off a late charge by Cook to take home the win.  For more info please check out the RACECAST that features a post-race interview with both drivers.  You can find this RaceCast on the bottom of the front page of our web-site.

Glencoe, AL (4/24)-- Kenny Wallace brought his Jeg's sponsored open wheel modified into the Valley last Thursday night.  After losing an engine in the open wheel hot lap segment, Wallace and his crew spent the next hour and a half replacing it.  It was an incredible effort on his crew's part and with the help of some of the the local drivers, like Jack Rayburn of Cedartown, Ga.  In support of his brother Kenny, Mike Wallace and his daughter Chrissy showed in the pits also.  Kenny put a good fight in the open wheel modified feature, running second most of the race, but was passed in the closing laps to finish third.

We are going to make every attempt to make sure the races are run Saturday night. However, in the event we are rained out, we will run Sunday and gates will open at 1:00 pm with hot laps starting at 3:00 pm. Plan on being at the track Saturday at regular time. Green Valley Speedway and Speedy's Team To Fight Autism

Rainbow City, AL- Green Valley Speedway would like to thank the management staff of Speedy Mart, in Rainbow City next to the Library and Fire Station, for teaming up with us to help promote National Autism Awareness Month. Paul Noah and Zach Noah also brought out there Autism Race Car for the event. Special Thanks to Merrill Smith for bringing Little Miss Hallie-Kate Smith's Go-Kart, several young fans who stopped by to see us got a pretty big thrill when they were told they could sit in the go-kart.

The management staff at Speedy's would also like to extend an invitation to the fans of Green Valley to come by the store with their Green Valley Bracelets to get a free 32 oz fountain drink anytime during the week following a scheduled event, this promotion will start on Monday April 14th.
